Introduction
VAF-400 Metal Melting Furnace is a small arc melting furnace. It can flip alloy ingots for multiple melting cycles without breaking the protective gas atmosphere, and can prepare multiple samples at the same time. It is an ideal device for universities and research institutes to prepare refractory metals and metal carbide samples.

Copper Crucible | Water-cooled copper crucible with 5 stations (other numbers of stations can be customized). Each station is a hemispherical pot with a radius of 35 mm (other sizes can be customized). One of the stations is equipped with a suction casting device at the bottom.

Vacuum Suction Casting Device | Vacuum suction casting device can cast metal rods of φ5 mm × 65 mm length (other sizes can be customized). By evacuating the copper mold, the molten metal quickly enters the copper mold, resulting in metal rods with small shrinkage cavities.

Electromagnetic Stirring |
The equipment has an electromagnetic stirring function. The three surrounding stations all have electromagnetic stirring. The principle is that the coil generates a magnetic field when energized, and the molten metal moves within the magnetic field. |
Main Features | 1. Observation windows are installed on the front and left sides. LED lights are installed on both sides at the rear inside the chamber for easy observation of the arc melting process.

Vacuum Chamber | Water-cooled vacuum chamber dimensions: Dia 400 × 320 mm. The vacuum chamber has an electrically operated lift door for easy sample loading and unloading. There is a φ80 mm observation window on the front and left sides for easy viewing of the arc melting process. A manipulator is installed on the right side for flipping alloy ingots. |

Tungsten Electrode
| Tungsten electrode of φ10 mm (arc gun is water-cooled), non-consumable tungsten arc needle. The angle and distance between the electrode and the sample are adjustable (max. adjustment distance: 80 mm). Maximum temperature can reach 3000℃. The image below shows samples melted with this furnace.
