Heating Elements

Domestic high-quality resistance wire (optional: Swedish Kanthal A1 imported resistance wire)

Control Method

Yudian program temperature controller (standard).
1. 30segment program control with intelligent PID adjustment.
2. Overtemperature protection and broken thermocouple protection – heating circuit automatically cuts off (when furnace temperature exceeds 1200°C or thermocouple breaks, the AC relay on the main circuit disconnects, ON lamp goes out, OFF lamp lights up – effectively protecting the furnace).
3. Equipped with RS485 communication interface (standard when software is purchased).
4. Power-off protection: after power failure and restart, the program starts from the furnace temperature at the time of power failure, not from the initial temperature.
5. The instrument has an auto-tuning function.

Vacuum Sealing Flange & Valves

1. One stainless steel sealing flange and one stainless steel needle valve are installed at the top of the furnace body.
2. A gate valve, a mechanical pressure gauge, and a KF-25 vacuum port for connecting a vacuum pump are installed at the bottom of the furnace body.
3. Vacuum degree: with a mechanical pump, vacuum degree can reach <1 Pa. To achieve higher vacuum (down to 10⁻³ Pa), a domestic or imported highvacuum pump unit can be selected.
Optional accessories to increase vacuum efficiency:
4. KF25 stainless steel bellows, KF25 quick-release clamps.

5. Optional corrosion-resistant digital vacuum gauge (measurement range: 3.8×10⁻⁵ to 1125 Torr) – no conversion factor needed for different gas types.

6. A hanging device with a maximum load capacity of 1000 g is mounted on the top flange, as shown in Figure 2. The sample is hung on the hook with suspension wire. Press the quenching rod, and the sample together with the suspension wire will drop into the quenching box. Before releasing the sample, argon gas at 5 PSI must be charged and the manual slide valve at the bottom of the furnace tube shall be opened.

Quenching Container

QQ20260528-102309.jpg

1. A stainless steel container fixed at the bottom of the furnace tube holds the quenching liquid.
2. A large manual gate valve is installed between the bottom of the furnace tube and the liquid container.

Important Notes

The gas pressure inside the furnace tube must not exceed 0.02 MPa.

Since the gas cylinder internal pressure is high, a pressure reducing valve must be installed on the gas cylinder when introducing gas into the furnace tube. To ensure safety, it is recommended to use a pressure below 0.02 MPa.

When using a quartz tube as the furnace tube and the furnace temperature exceeds 1000°C, the furnace tube must not be under vacuum. The pressure inside the tube should be equivalent to atmospheric pressure.

The gas flow rate into the furnace tube must be less than 200 SCCM to avoid thermal shock to the hot tube from cold gas flow.

For experiments involving sample heating, it is not recommended to close both the vacuum valve and the gas inlet valve at the flange end. If it is necessary to close the valves during sample heating, the pressure gauge reading must be constantly monitored. If the pressure gauge reading exceeds 0.02 MPa, the exhaust valve must be opened immediately to prevent accidents (such as tube rupture or flange ejection).
